Although he received his doctorate in the theory of photographic and multimedia creation, most of all he will probably be a music publicist. A certain formative time for him participated in the running of Živel magazine. Over the years, he has published in Rock & Pop, Reflex and MF Dnes. He collaborated with Radio Wave. He co-founded the beautiful picture magazine Komfort. In 2007–2009 he worked for the Aktuálně server. He became a member of the Respekt editorial office on April 1, 2010.

      He does not come from an artistic environment, but he has music as a listener as well as a non-professional pianist and organist close to his childhood. After high school, he studied musicology at Charles University. Since the mid-1980s, he has been working as a journalist, music and opera critic and author of texts about music and musicians. For over twenty years he was a ČTK correspondent focused on music, culture and churches, and since 2007 he has been the music editor of the Vltava station at Czech Radio for ten years, for which he continues to work as a publicist. At the same time, it is one of the long-standing guides to broadcasting Czech Radio in D major, a digital classical music station. Since the 1980s, in addition to his employment, he has been continuously contributing to professional Czech music monthly, dailies and magazines. He prepared interviews and wrote musical reflections for Lidové and Hospodářské noviny, publishes in Týdeník Rozhlas also on the Internet, writes texts for concert programs and CD covers. He is the author of the book Václav Snítil and his half-century of Czech music. He considers classical music to be an irreplaceable part of human life and tries to persuade others to do so. He travels to music as enthusiastically as he likes to walk in the mountains and take photos. He still searches for classical music of all periods, forms and genres, listens with pleasure and continues to get to know him. In June 2018, he therefore became a co-founder of the music portal KlasikaPlus.cz.

            He studied sociology and journalism at the Faculty of Arts, Palacky University in Olomouc and is still happy to work in these areas. His professional focus was fundamentally influenced by the domestic collection of jazz vinyls. From 2004 he worked as an editor of the jazz section of the monthly Harmonie, temporarily as a copywriter and in 2010 he settled on the Vltava.

                Josef Vlček

                Josef Vlček, nicknamed Zub, is a Czech music publicist and radio playwright. He has appeared in Melodie (1988–1990), Rock & Pop (1990–1993) and other audiences in Headliner. He was also involved in the creation of the first Czech commercial radio station Evropa 2. In 2012, a book interview with Josef Vlček entitled The Tooth of Time was published (interviewed by journalist Honza Dědek). He is the author of the three-part musical dictionary Rock 2000 (1982–1984). His other works include Rock on the Left Wing (1983), Rock Directions and Styles (1988) and Music on the Border (1991).
