Mácháč is one of the most important dance open air festivals in the Czech Republic.
The magic combination of nature, dance music and beautiful scenery on the shore of Macha Lake with a sandy beach is exactly what makes the festival unique atmosphere and soon became the most visited event of electronic dance music in the Czech Republic. At the same time, we are the only festival that has a main stage located directly on the water.
The first year of the festival took place in 1999 and over 250 000 visitors have visited it throughout its history. During these years, stars like Tiësto, Hardwell, Armin van Buuren, Axwell, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, W&W, Dada Life, Carl Cox, Paul van Dyk, Ferry Corsten and many others have alternated here at sunrise and sunset.

Metalfest in Pilsen is has become a highly respected metal tradition. The fans came to favour the festival not only for its great musical dramaturgy of many genres of metal but also for its unique natural environment in which it takes place. "Holidays in Telc" is a summer 14-day music festival and presentation of music groups supplemented with theater and movie performances. Strong evidence of growing popularity is the fact that the festival enters its 28th year of existence and is attended by approximately 20.000 visitors every year. The festival is organized by the 'Prazdniny v Telci' private agency together with the city Telc and the Telc Castle.
Most of activities take place in the attractive environment of the City Square and the courtyard of the chateau. Associated activities and performances have a scene laid at the Chateau Park or places near by. There are also art exhibitions that regularly take place on the old Jewish cemetery.

The international interdisciplinary festival SMETANOVSKÉ DNY, which belongs to the calendar of the most important cultural events in Pilsen for more than thirty years, represents tradition and the certainty that there are still lasting values ​​that can be relied on. For music and art lovers in general, it is a real holiday that brings extraordinary experiences every year. In the top performance of important ensembles and leading performers of our and foreign scene, listeners can listen to well-known masterpieces in traditional and new contexts, as well as musical novelties. The interdisciplinarity, which stood at the very beginning of the festival in the form of a scientific symposium devoted to the issues of Czech culture of the 19th century, is maintained. Within the cultural context, the festival is rare in that it connects the world of music with the world of science, philosophy, literature, fine arts, theater and film. An integral part of the festival is also the involvement of Pilsen artists and performers.
