The International Music Festival Dobršská Brána will again offer a refreshing insight into the world of contemporary music without dramaturgical compromises and a formal genre classification of performers. In their work they present, they freely switch between genres and combine elements of folk music with jazz and chamber music. This corresponds to the specific dramaturgy of the festival and its motto “The Gate to the World of Music”.

The festival continues and fits into the global trend of seraching for new connections between traditional, classical and contemporary music and thus creates a unique musical event that would hardly find a comparison on the Czech music scene. At the same time, the festival gives a new impulse for meeting of world musicians and the Czech audience on the spot for many visitors unusual, yet with a long musical tradition, outside the Czech metropolis. The success of the past year is supported by musical responses from the audience and critics’ reviews by proving that the focus of the festival has been a step in the right direction. During the two-day period, the second year presented performers from Norway, Sweden, the Netherlands, Japan, USA, Germany, Austria, Poland and the Czech Republic. So the event took place with a truly European overlap.

"Folk Holidays" Náměšť nad Oslavou is an extraordinary music Festival. These 8 days many visitors spend as their real music, art and dancing holidays, of which they can be either active or passive participants. They are surro unded by the charming environment of the Naměšť Renaissance chateau, chateau park, adjacent environs of the Oslava river in the town as well as outside the town.

Every evening music programme of the Festival has its theme, its set up, with no genre borders - world, ethnic and folklore music, jazz, rock, folk, classical music. For the coming musicians the Festival often is an inspiration for an untraditional special concert - it is not unusual that they stay for several days, even just as spectators in the audience or as workshop participants.

The Festival is not just the evening concerts at the chateau courtyard. During the Festival days a number of workshops take place - you can e.g. learn to play the basics of some interesting musical instrument, jam and talk with musicians, who the previous evening enthused the courtyard, create your own drawings, paintings, silkscreen printings, objects, write your own text and poetry. Several hours in the afternoon belong regularly to so-called "Open Scene", where interesting, less known, music groups perform on a small stage behind the Baroque Hospital in the town by the Oslava river. And at night not only does the Festival camp come alive with music, but also the chapel of the Baroque Hospital.

The Festival is also unusual thanks to the number of international guests. The Folk Holidays Festival is a festival of outstanding music as well as non-music experiences and inspirations.

In the next ten years, Haydn's music festivals intend to present the work of the main musical "nations" or regions within the individual festival years, which contributed to the formation of classicist musical language, which soon established itself as a universal musical language used worldwide. This dramaturgical principle will significantly enrich the existing principles (focus on compositional anniversaries, regional musical sources, great major works of the classicist era). The intention of the organizers is to dedicate 40-50% of the festival's concert performances to musical "nations".
Italy has a decisive position among these nations. Therefore, the 29th year of the festival (2021) will be dedicated to Italian and Italian-inspired music of the 17th and 18th centuries. Italian musical inspiration has dominated world music for more than three centuries, culminating in the period of classicism (16th - 19th centuries). It was the Italian composers at the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries who formulated a new way of compositional work, based on more intensive work with musical material. Thanks to this, new musical genres saw the light of day in the Italian environment, which then dominated the next centuries (concert, symphonies, etc.), some others then gained new developmental inspiration (sonata, opera, etc..).

The Petr Dvorský Music Festival focuses mainly on the human voice. In many genres, from classics of all periods to pop, jazz and folklore, top Czech and foreign artists present themselves at it. In addition to its patron Petr Dvorský, the festival hosted, for example, Jelena Obrazcová, Kiri Te Kanawa, Montserrat Caballé, Karel Gott, Lucia Bílá, Mira Žbirka and Ewa Farná.

MHF Lípa Musica is the most important festival project in the field of classical music in northern Bohemia. During its nineteen-year history, it supplemented the imaginary cultural map of our country with a highly valued and high-quality music holiday and thus became not only a representative of our country's culture in the Czech Republic, but also fulfills its international status as one of the few events in the Czech Republic. It fulfills it not only at the level of presentation of the world's leading performers in the country, but also through the export of the Czech musical elite to Germany. For years, the festival has been predestined for the development of the Czech-German dialogue, which takes place at the artistic level, but also in creating an environment for deepening friendly relations between neighboring regions at the organizing and visitor level. In recent years, the Lípa Musica Festival has been sponsoring its program with the personality of an artistic guarantor (Radek Baborák in 2017 and 2018, Josef Špaček in 2019 and 2020). This institute of the festival opens the door to the possibility of presenting excellent performers from abroad, not only of German provenance, who often, despite their exceptional qualities, appear on Czech stages for the first time and are thus a new inspiration for the Czech cultural community. Lípa Musica pays attention not only to the high level of interpretive quality, but also to the content of the dramaturgy itself and the careful selection of the presented works and their discovery and value not only in the context of generally reflected themes and anniversaries. The dramaturgy of the festival is also developed taking into account foreign trends, which are an inspiration in the selection of performers and works, but also in the more general organizational level. In the 30 years of its existence, the festival has become one of the three largest classical festivals in the Czech Republic, offering 550 concerts and performances, during which more than 13,000 artists from 40 countries performed.

This summer show offers 4 weeks of music from the 15th to the 21st century with international classical / crossover stars in unique places in the city with a real genius loci.

"Holidays in Telc" is a summer 14-day music festival and presentation of music groups supplemented with theater and movie performances. Strong evidence of growing popularity is the fact that the festival enters its 28th year of existence and is attended by approximately 20.000 visitors every year. The festival is organized by the 'Prazdniny v Telci' private agency together with the city Telc and the Telc Castle.
Most of activities take place in the attractive environment of the City Square and the courtyard of the chateau. Associated activities and performances have a scene laid at the Chateau Park or places near by. There are also art exhibitions that regularly take place on the old Jewish cemetery.
