In the next ten years, Haydn's music festivals intend to present the work of the main musical "nations" or regions within the individual festival years, which contributed to the formation of classicist musical language, which soon established itself as a universal musical language used worldwide. This dramaturgical principle will significantly enrich the existing principles (focus on compositional anniversaries, regional musical sources, great major works of the classicist era). The intention of the organizers is to dedicate 40-50% of the festival's concert performances to musical "nations".
Italy has a decisive position among these nations. Therefore, the 29th year of the festival (2021) will be dedicated to Italian and Italian-inspired music of the 17th and 18th centuries. Italian musical inspiration has dominated world music for more than three centuries, culminating in the period of classicism (16th - 19th centuries). It was the Italian composers at the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries who formulated a new way of compositional work, based on more intensive work with musical material. Thanks to this, new musical genres saw the light of day in the Italian environment, which then dominated the next centuries (concert, symphonies, etc.), some others then gained new developmental inspiration (sonata, opera, etc..).

Horn Fest

Horn Fest

Prague Prague

Festivals|Classical

Horn Fest was created on the initiative of the Czech horn player Radek Baborák, who would like to take this step to contribute to the more than 300-year-old tradition of the Czech horn game. The unifying element of the whole festival is therefore the French horn. As part of the Horn Fest, listeners will be able to listen to the various positions of this instrument, support a diverse instrumental cast and genre, as well as a very varied program. They will be able to see for themselves that the French horn is not just an instrument of love, but mainly a melodic instrument with an infinite number of color scales, just a great understanding of both wind instruments and strings!

Fryderyk Chopin's company in the Czech Republic is one of the oldest music companies in the world - it was founded on June 10, 1959 at the initiative of several people who did not even know about themselves at first. However, they dealt with the Chopin theme and especially Chopin's stay in our territory, especially in Prague, Karlovy Vary and Mariánské Lázně.

The efforts of these researchers came together to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the birth of Fryderyk Chopin, which fell in 1960 and was commemorated by the whole world under the auspices of UNESCO. The deepest expression of respect for the Polish composer and a living reminder of his stay in Mariánské Lázně is his music. The idea of presenting the Company with a music festival was born. It sounds every year in the second half of August. From the beginning it was the "Festive Chopin Days", since 1969 it has been a well-known name Chopin Festival. Chopin International Festival is the third oldest music festival in our country.

After 1990, the Fryderyk Chopin Society in Mariánské Lázně became a member of the International Federation of Chopin Societies (IFCS). The federation, based in Vienna, has been registered as a musical, world community under the auspices of UNESCO. Thanks to its membership in the International Federation of Chopin Societies (IFCS), the company is listed as the only Czech music company on this list.

Since 1992, the famous piano star - professor Ivan Klánský - has been winning the festival with an artistic feeling. Pianist MgA. Martin Kasík, vice-chairman of the Society and artistic director of the festival, has been preparing the festival's dramaturgy since 2004. In addition to increasing the artistic and social prestige of the Chopin Festival in Mariánské Lázně, the company's priority is also extraordinary support and care for young talents in piano art.
In 2009, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Poland presented the "Gloria Artis" award to the 50th anniversary of the Fryderyk Chopin Society. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland awarded prof. Ivan Klánský in 2014 on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the F. Chopin Company, an honorary Bene Merito badge for merits in promoting Polish culture. In 2017, prof. Ivan Klánský is the prestigious Antonín Dvořák Award, which is awarded annually by the Academy of Classical Music to personalities who, with their life's work or extraordinary artistic achievement, have significantly contributed to the promotion and popularization of Czech classical music at home and abroad. Prof. On May 1, 2018, Ivan Klánský received a Garnet Star awarded by the Bohemian Heritage Fund (BHF) at his concert in Prague's Rudolfinum. "I was extremely pleased with the news of my Grenade Star award in the year of my life anniversary. I consider it a great honor to be in the company of two such great personalities of our musical life who received this award before me - professors Zuzana Růžičková and Mrs. Soňa Červená. I really appreciate this important award ", said prof. Ivan Klánský.

The company cooperates intensively on the preparations for the festival and other events with the Polish Institute and the City of Mariánské Lázně, which is already the traditional co-organizer of the Chopin Festival.

The Early Music Summer Festival is the largest and longest-running early music festival in Prague. Since 2000, the festival has been the gateway through which top foreign performers flow to the Czech Republic, playing originals or copies of historical instruments while maintaining the highest demands for perfection of performance, which we are used to with modern instruments.
The thematically elaborated dramaturgy of individual years presents a number of compositions in modern premieres, not only in the Czech but also often in a global context. The festival is unique in its overlap with Baroque theater and dance. One of the advantages of the festival is the connection of beautiful architecture with music of appropriate styles.

Concerts and performances held regularly, for example, in the Břevnov Monastery, Troja Castle, Rudolfinum, the Lobkowicz Palace, in the interiors of lesser-known Prague churches and other Prague historical spaces.

The festival is a member of the European REMA network and is a proud holder of the prestigious EFFE Label 2017-2021 and the "exceptional festival" label.

MHF Lípa Musica is the most important festival project in the field of classical music in northern Bohemia. During its nineteen-year history, it supplemented the imaginary cultural map of our country with a highly valued and high-quality music holiday and thus became not only a representative of our country's culture in the Czech Republic, but also fulfills its international status as one of the few events in the Czech Republic. It fulfills it not only at the level of presentation of the world's leading performers in the country, but also through the export of the Czech musical elite to Germany. For years, the festival has been predestined for the development of the Czech-German dialogue, which takes place at the artistic level, but also in creating an environment for deepening friendly relations between neighboring regions at the organizing and visitor level. In recent years, the Lípa Musica Festival has been sponsoring its program with the personality of an artistic guarantor (Radek Baborák in 2017 and 2018, Josef Špaček in 2019 and 2020). This institute of the festival opens the door to the possibility of presenting excellent performers from abroad, not only of German provenance, who often, despite their exceptional qualities, appear on Czech stages for the first time and are thus a new inspiration for the Czech cultural community. Lípa Musica pays attention not only to the high level of interpretive quality, but also to the content of the dramaturgy itself and the careful selection of the presented works and their discovery and value not only in the context of generally reflected themes and anniversaries. The dramaturgy of the festival is also developed taking into account foreign trends, which are an inspiration in the selection of performers and works, but also in the more general organizational level. Lípa Musica also pays great attention to young artists and creates platforms for their collaboration with already renowned performers, and at the same time, in support of cultural dialogue, seeks to include proj
