The festival has been spotting and highlighting foreign as well as local talent from the jazz and experimental scene since 2008 focusing mainly on contemporary jazz ((the name translates as The Youth Tune Jazz) and its bold crossovers to other genres. As well as concerts, it organises the Jazzfruit competition for young jazz bands, the jazz workshops for children, specialist workshops for musicians and the year-round Jazzbit club series.

"Holidays in Telc" is a summer 14-day music festival and presentation of music groups supplemented with theater and movie performances. Strong evidence of growing popularity is the fact that the festival enters its 28th year of existence and is attended by approximately 20.000 visitors every year. The festival is organized by the 'Prazdniny v Telci' private agency together with the city Telc and the Telc Castle.
Most of activities take place in the attractive environment of the City Square and the courtyard of the chateau. Associated activities and performances have a scene laid at the Chateau Park or places near by. There are also art exhibitions that regularly take place on the old Jewish cemetery.

The interdisciplinarity, which stood at the very beginning of the festival in the form of a scientific symposium devoted to the issues of Czech culture of the 19th century, is maintained. Within the cultural context, the festival is rare in that it connects the world of music with the world of science, philosophy, literature, fine arts, theater and film. An integral part of the festival is also the involvement of Pilsen artists and performers.
